In 2013, I founded a newspaper.

I designed and launched The Objective, an easy to read, online newspaper with a heavy emphasis on photojournalism which would also infuse its approach to advertising. It wasn’t long before our modest editorial team was reaching 50 thousand unique visitors a day and we were competing with Pedro J’s also recently launched El Español for rank on Alexa. The opinion section –elSubjetivo– featured writing from thought leaders from all over the ideological spectrum; from communist singers or the current Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sánchez and deputy prime minister, Pablo Iglesias, to Melchor Miralles, Carme Chaparro, right wing journalist Herman Tertsch, a tweeting nun or Iniesta and Xavi Hernández. We also ran a monthly iPad magazine called, rather unimaginitively TheObjective Monthly.
